The 2009-2014 World Outlook for Household Vacuum Cleaners, Parts, and Attachments

Product DescriptionThis econometric study covers the world outlook for domestic vacuum cleaners, parts and equipment in more than 200 countries. For each year reported, estimates for the latent demand, or potential industry earnings (PIE) given, for the country (in million U.S. dollars), the percent share the country is in the region and the world. These comparative benchmarks allow the reader to quickly gauge a country other vis-à-vis. Using econometric models which project fundamental economic dynamics within each country and across countries, latent demand estimates are created. This report does not treat the specific players in the market serving the latent demand, nor details on the product level. The study also does not consider short-term cyclicalities that might affect realized sales. The study is involved, therefore, are strategic in nature, taking an aggregate and long-term view, regardless of the players or products. This study does not report actual sales data (that are not easily available, in a comparable or consistent in nearly all the 230 countries of the world). This study gives, however, my estimates for the worldwide latent demand, or the PIE, for household vacuum cleaners, parts and equipment. It also shows how the PIE is divided across the world’s regional and national markets. For each country, I show my estimates of how the PIE grows over time (positive or negative growth). To these estimates, a multi-stage methodology was employed, that is often taught in courses on international strategic planning at graduate schools of business.
